J.K. Rowling applauds ‘Harry Potter’ actors' Twitter rivalry: ‘So proud of my boys'

Matthew Lewis (l.) and Tom Felton attend the premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" in 2011

J.K. Rowling is tickled that a “Harry Potter” rivalry has spilled over into real life.

The bestselling author gave her approval to a Twitter exchange between actors Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis, who played Draco Malfoy and Neville Longbottom, respectively, in the hit film franchise.

After Lewis retweeted a trailer for Felton’s new movie “Risen” on Friday, the former co-stars teased each on Twitter.

And because their characters were on opposite sides of good and evil in the fantasy series, Felton and Lewis jested by invoking their characters’ respective Hogwarts houses.

Pleased by their banter, Rowling shared their converation with her 5 million Twitter followers.
